From Rural Haiti to U.S. Defense Networks: The Journey of Schadrac Pierre

Born in the rural Haitian village of Terres des Neigres, Schadrac Pierre grew up with curiosity and resilience that fueled a relentless desire to understand how things worked. Despite the challenges of limited resources and a poverish environment, he discovered the transformative power of education. That determination shaped the values that became the foundation of his professional ascent. His journey began in community classrooms at the Baptist School Terre des Neigres (École Baptiste de Terre des Neigres), where chalkboards and shared knowledge sparked a passion for technology that would one day propel him onto the global stage of cybersecurity and defense communications.
Schadrac’s first professional breakthrough came in Port-au-Prince when a professor entrusted him to teach a high-level course in his absence. That opportunity planted the seed for years of teaching and academic involvement before he fully embraced a career in Information Technology. His early path led him into eventually serving as an IT Specialist for USAID’s AVANSE project, where he safeguarded connectivity and data integrity for development workers, managed local and wide-area networks, upgraded servers, and solved technical problems in real-time production environments. For Schadrac, IT was never just about fixing machines, it was about completing the missions and exceeding the standards to helped his countries progressive goals.
That same passion to make an impact carried him to the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (HELP), where he directed IT infrastructure while also giving back as an Associate College Professor. There, he blended his two callings: education and technical leadership to help likeminded youths that would set out to make their own.
Schadrac’s transition to the United States marked a new chapter of service through the U.S. Army, where he applied his expertise in secure communications, COMSEC devices, and tactical networks. Supporting multiple departments, he earned a reputation as a reliable IT Specialist who ensured communications security for more than 300 users in high-pressure environments.
From there, his career expanded rapidly as he worked across several federal organizations in roles such as Network Administrator and Network Engineer, strengthening his ability to deliver secure, mission-critical systems.

Today, Schadrac is a CSfC Network Engineer SME at OSC Edge and a Global Executive MBA candidate at the University of Miami. Fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, he brings both technical mastery and cross-cultural collaboration to his profession. He mentors future leaders, bridges deep technical expertise with strategic vision, and continues his mission to build secure, intelligent networks that protects and connects.

From a small schoolhouse in rural Haiti to the nerve centers of U.S. defense operations, Schadrac Pierre’s story is a testament to education, service, and perseverance—proof that determination and purpose can transcend borders and transform lives.”
