Maternal & Child Health

Care for a mother is care for the next generation.

Prenatal visits, safe delivery support, growth monitoring, and immunizations, so a mother and her baby both come through the earliest years healthy.

The first thousand days

From a first prenatal visit to a child's second birthday is the window that shapes the rest of a life. It is also the window where a missed check up or a delayed vaccine does the most damage. This program exists to keep families inside it.

  • Prenatal checkups and nutrition counseling
  • Postnatal follow up for mother and newborn
  • Growth monitoring and the full childhood immunization schedule
  • Guidance for new mothers on feeding, hygiene, and the warning signs that mean go now
  • Referral to partner hospitals when a case needs more than we can carry

Working with the women already doing this

Traditional birth attendants and community health workers are often the only care a rural mother sees. Rather than working around them, we train alongside them and make sure they can reach us when a delivery turns complicated.
