Back-to-School Supply Kits Arrive in Gonaïves, Haiti

The supplies have made it. Approximately 180 Back-to-School Supply Kits from Pierre Foundation's Backpacks for Brighter Futures campaign have arrived in Gonaïves, Haiti, and are now being prepared for distribution to children in the community.

Each kit was assembled from supplies given through the campaign, so that students can begin the school year with the essential materials they need in the classroom.

Built by a Community

The shipment is the result of weeks of planning, collecting, packing, and preparing. It reflects the effort of everyone who purchased supplies, shared the campaign, helped assemble the kits, and supported the initiative along the way.

From the beginning, Backpacks for Brighter Futures had a simple goal: to turn community support into something tangible, placed directly in the hands of children in Haiti. With the kits now in Gonaïves, that goal is within reach.

What Comes Next

Pierre Foundation is now preparing for the most important stage of the campaign: distribution. Every kit was packed with one child in mind, and the work is not finished until it reaches them.

Distribution is planned for next week, and Pierre Foundation will share new photographs and news as it happens.
