Pierre Foundation Delivers Comprehensive Mobile Health Services to 133 People in Anse-Rouge

On May 13, 2026, Pierre Foundation brought healthcare directly to the community of Anse-Rouge, serving 133 people through a mobile clinic that combined medical consultations, laboratory testing, and access to essential medications.

With a particular focus on pregnant women and elderly residents, the outreach was designed to provide several important healthcare services in one accessible community setting.

One Clinic, Multiple Health Services

A 13-member healthcare team carried out the initiative, bringing together five physicians, three nurses, two pharmacists, and three laboratory technicians.

This multidisciplinary approach allowed patients to receive different levels of care during the same outreach. Medical professionals evaluated participants, laboratory technicians provided diagnostic testing, and pharmacists supported the distribution of medications prescribed or recommended according to patient needs.

Laboratory services available during the clinic included complete blood counts, urinalysis, H. pylori testing, blood glucose testing, Widal testing, C-reactive protein (CRP), and antistreptolysin O (ASO) testing.

Supporting Everyday Health Needs

The clinic also provided a range of medications to help address health needs identified among participants. These included antihypertensive medications, analgesics, iron supplements, antacids, metformin, vitamin C, folic acid, Peptigel, and antibiotics.

For pregnant women, older adults, and other residents attending the outreach, having consultations, testing, and medications available in one location made the day about more than simply seeing a doctor; it provided access to several components of basic healthcare.

Strengthening Community Health in Anse-Rouge

The 133 residents served in Anse-Rouge represent families and individuals who connected directly with healthcare professionals and received services within their community.

As Pierre Foundation continues its healthcare initiatives in Haiti, mobile clinics remain one way to extend essential services beyond traditional healthcare settings and reach communities where additional access can make a meaningful difference.
