Pierre Foundation Brings Essential Healthcare to 100 Residents Through Mobile Clinic in Coridon

On January 13, 2026, Pierre Foundation continued its commitment to improving access to healthcare in Haiti by organizing a mobile medical clinic in Coridon and providing essential health services, laboratory testing, medication, and medical consultations to about 100 community members.

The initiative focused particularly on pregnant women and elderly residents, two populations that can face increased health risks and benefit from consistent access to medical care.

Bringing Medical Care Directly to the Community

The mobile clinic brought together a multidisciplinary healthcare team consisting of five physicians, three nurses, two pharmacists, and three laboratory technicians.

Throughout the clinic, participants received medical evaluations and access to a variety of medications based on their healthcare needs. Medications distributed included antihypertensives, analgesics, iron supplements, antacids, metformin, vitamin C, folic acid, Peptigel, and antibiotics.

By bringing healthcare professionals, medications, and diagnostic services directly into the community, the clinic sought to reduce barriers that can make obtaining basic healthcare difficult for vulnerable residents.

Laboratory and Diagnostic Services

In addition to medical consultations, the clinic provided access to several laboratory and diagnostic tests. Available services included complete blood counts (CBC), urinalysis, H. pylori testing, blood glucose testing, Widal testing, C-reactive protein (CRP) testing, and antistreptolysin O (ASO) testing.

These services gave the medical team additional information to evaluate patients and address their individual healthcare needs during the outreach.

100 Community Members Reached

By the conclusion of the mobile clinic, approximately 100 people had participated and received services.
