Pierre Foundation Reaches 147 Patients During Community Health Outreach in Pointe des Mangles

Pierre Foundation expanded its community health outreach on January 22, 2026, with a mobile clinic in Pointe des Mangles, where 147 residents received access to medical consultations, diagnostic testing, and essential medications.

The outreach placed special emphasis on pregnant women and older adults, providing services designed to address common health concerns while making care more accessible within the community.

A Full Medical Team on the Ground

A team of 13 healthcare professionals supported the day's activities, including five physicians, three nurses, two pharmacists, and three laboratory technicians.

Working together, the team provided patients with more than consultations alone. On-site laboratory services allowed healthcare professionals to conduct tests that helped evaluate patients and identify potential health concerns.

Testing included complete blood counts, urinalysis, H. pylori screening, blood glucose testing, Widal tests, C-reactive protein (CRP), and antistreptolysin O (ASO) testing.

From Evaluation to Treatment

A key part of the Pointe des Mangles outreach was connecting medical evaluation with access to medication.

Patients received medications based on their individual needs, including antihypertensives, analgesics, iron supplements, antacids, metformin, vitamin C, folic acid, Peptigel, and antibiotics.

Having physicians, laboratory technicians, pharmacists, and nurses working together at one location helped create a more comprehensive healthcare experience for those attending the clinic.

147 People Served in One Day

By the end of the January 22 outreach, 147 people had participated in the mobile clinic, making it another meaningful step in Pierre Foundation's efforts to bring healthcare resources closer to communities in Haiti.

For pregnant women and elderly residents in particular, access to medical professionals, testing, and medications can play an important role in supporting their health and well-being.
